College has been a place of growth for me, a source of positive change that has left me better equipped to go out there and get a job that not only pays the bills but that I have a passion for, that same passion that all the staff at B&FC have for their jobs and the same passion they bring into the classroom. So this week for me is a way to show my support for what the College does as a whole and to be thankful for all that it has done for me. 

 College for me has been an important part of my life for a few years now, coming back to education later in life has been hard but I’ve been lucky to have some of the most amazing staff to help and support me during my time at Blackpool and the Fylde. It’s thanks to these same staff that I have been able to succeed so well on my journey but an unfortunate truth for them is that they are paid substantially less than teachers that work in schools (about 20% less!). This campaign is about addressing this issue alongside many others (support staff on pay freeze for example). Our teachers and staff are people too and they deserve recognition for the work that they do.
